George, you're so right. The recovery is worse than the RC--I not only had the implant done, I had an artificial sphincter installed during the same surgery.

But I disagree about needing dedication--once you're out of the operating room, no dedication is needed. There's no going back.

Rest assured the pain does go away; you're almost home free. I promise.

Well, I had an implant done on September 26th. It is now october 12th and I am still sore, but all the horrible swelling is almost gone. I had never seen such a great shade of "Dusty Eggplant" before in my life. Not even after my R.C.
next week I see my doctor and we'll find out how things are progressing.

I have to say that one has to be dedicated to have this done. I could walk much better, faster than after the R.C. Wasn't as tired either. But I think the pain was slightly worse and has lasted longer.

We'll see if the pleasure measures up to the pain. Some ratio to be thinking about , huh? ???
