Hey Vin,
You can't hijack a thread since we're all here to help each other. If the numbers make it look like a hot topic, maybe someone else with a stricture will find it and tell us about his experience. If not, I've found it enlightening to be part of this support group.

It's not my thread! I never even heard of a urethral stricture until Warren mentioned it.

Pat,
I appreciate that. If you know of anyone else please chime away. The longer the list to investigate the better.

Zach,
Sorry for hijacking your post. I didn't mean for it to start rolling this way.

Vin......Dr. Stein is great...but you might take a look at Bernard Bochner at Memorial Sloan in NYC...www.mskcc.org........he worked with Dr. Stein at USC/Norris...was his fellow. They stole him away. He's really into nerve sparing. There are lots of top doctors in your neck of the woods. Pat

Zach,
Thanks for that. I think if I do opt for cystectomy I will be flying out to Ca. to see Dr. Stein. I've read nothing but the best things about him on this site. I live in the Boston area which is well known for it's medical community and my uro is no slouch but given the wide range of various results I'm reading about I don't want t settle for anything but the absolute top of the top.
If you have to self cath and you've had nerve sparing surgery is it as uncomfortable as a cysto?
I read Dan's story a little while back. It is a great story and is really the reason that I've begun thinking about the cystectomy. I wouldn't have even remotely considered it before. Escpecially given the success I've had so far with BCG.
