I know of practically no insurance company that will not allow a second opinion. Yes they are programmed to say NO to everything. Try the Patient Advocate Group...they can help you through the naysayers. Continue with the second uro opinion. The oncologist cannotlook into your bladder.

Is it that UCCC does not accept your insurance or is it that your insurance is saying you can't get a second opinion there?

I have not given up on a second opinion from UCCC, but I thought it might be good to see another doctor at the very least in case I don't win that fight. According to my last conversation with the scheduling person at UCCC, there may be no hope of winning that fight until I can change my insurance plan.

Would appreciate some advice on which would be better to pursue.

Thanks,
Vi
