Joe, I was back at work in four days.

For some reason, the turb was pretty hard for me to recover from; I was in bed for three days afterwards. My turb was performed by a local urologist at an outpatient facility, not at USC/Norris (where I had my RC).

Joe,

They did not officially grade my father's CIS. But I was told it is high grade.

He had TUR, and recovered well within few days.

Good luck to you too.

Thanks Joe

Hello, I was also DX last week and I am waiting for my TUR on Monday. This is a great site which will provide you with a lot of infomation, support and help. What were your fathers tumors graded or do they not grade CIS?

Joe

Hello, I am looking for advices about my father's treatments.

My father (70 year) was diagnosed with diffusive CIS last month. He is having BCG treatments now. His doctor says there is about 70% response rate for CIS. My concern is whether he should consider RC since CIS is potentially very risky. He has about 3 to 4 leisions that showed CIS. The pathology showed microinvation into lamina propria(0.5mm).

He also has BPH which was thought of the reason for his irrritative bladder symptoms. My father is otherwise in good health. I really hope he will get over this hurdle and continue to live healthy.

Your advices are greatly appreciated!
