Yes Karen, your right, she spoke to me about how to tell her grandsons, they are 10 and 11, she never spoke of her needs, just wanted a little more energy to complete her daily tasks. She was an unselfish woman for sure...God Bless Her, Ginger
I too spoke with Lucky a few times. She too lived in NC. Her real name was "Essie". She emailled me about how worried she was about her husband and daughter. She wanted to make sure she set up the Social Security etc...so they wouldn't have to worry about it. In closing she said: By the way my name is Essie, I don't feel very lucky anymore. God bless her, and her family. She was thinking abouit her families needs till the end.

Caregiver for my Wonderful Husband Angelo, who has Metastatic Bladder Cancer.
Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.
Yeah Joe, it seems she got it way to late, but the nite we talked she was hopeful and talked of getting chemo, seems things went slow when getting her treatments done. So heres one we lost.. so sad..Ginger
Recently I hooked up with a member who was on this forum for a very short time.
She didn't survive her metastized bladder cancer. She and I spoke on a pm only 7 days ago for the first time. She was filled with hope and talked about her grandchildren. So keep her in your prayers as well as her family as she left us too soon.. Nov. 1rst,
Ginger Beane
