Self catheter lubricant jelly

Revision...KY is ok....I use Surgilube as thats what the stoma nurses gave me.......water soluable bases are ok to use........just don't use petroleum based lubes...........Pat

My dad had a cystectomy done a year ago. He has to regulary do catheterization 2 to 3 times a day.

Is KY Jelly a good lubricant to do self catheterization? He had a prescription jelly which had a numbing ingreditent in it that he used before.
