Heading back for another hernia repair.

Apparently this hernia thing is fairly common. I've got one alos, that only shows up when I try certain exercises. No other symptoms. I asked my urologist about it at he suggested getting a wrap around thing to use when I exercise, which seems to work fine.

Should I be more concerned about this?

Well, things must have gotten boring again and you just had to stir things up for excitement!! Hope that an easy fix cures your boredom and you can settle down again!!

Seriously, Mike...wishing you an easy time.

Good Luck Mike!

Hopefully you'll be home for the weekend with no complications and the bowels working well.

We're pulling for you!

Thanks everybody!

Jim: Some people have pain. I have not. I just have a bubble type bulge on on side of my scar about three inches in diameter.
When I lay on my back and lift my feet off the ground, it looks like that scene from alien where the alien is in the abdomen trying to push out. Not a pretty site!

Will post an update once I am home. If all goes well, that should be tomorrow. If they wind up having to do full open and general anesthesia, then it could be a while with my track record of intestinal ileus. Hoping it is just epidural with sedation, little or no intestinal manipulation. Then I should be home tomorrow. :)
