Dan, I think you'll find that whatever road people take, they get used to it and it becomes a normal part of their life.

My RC was eighteen months ago. I have a neobladder and have had absolutely zero problems or complaints. I'm as close to normal as I can possibly be. I'd make the same decision in a heartbeat.

Best,

Zach

My RC is scheduled for March 12, and I'm currently taking Gemzar & Cisplatin. I'm 60 and in good health (except for the MI, Stage 3 TCC, 5cm tumor--nothing shows on CT scan outside of the bladder). The current plan is for me to get the neobladder, but I'm not sure if it is the best choice for me. I'm not sure that the advantages of the neobladder outweigh the potential for complications, and I'm not sure that I want to have my intestines modified.

For those who have had the RC, please tell me why you made the choice that you did, and if you think you would make the same choice again.

Thanks in advance,
Dan in Florida
