I know how you feel. My urologist and surgeon left Vanderbilt last September to take the position of Head of Urology at University of Oklahoma which allowed he and his wife to return to their hometowns. I was so comfortable with him doing my followups because he knew what was done during my surgery and what to look for during my cystos.

It was a great sense of loss when I had to choose a new uro. My last check up was with my new doctor and he put me a ease right away and his background gives me high confidence in him as well. I'm sure the same will happen for you as well.

Best wishes... Catherine

As a patient of Dr. Schoenberg at Hopkins for the past 6 years, I just found out he is leaving Hopkins it looks like the end of March. Don't know if anyone else has additional information, however this is a significant loss in my opinion. I hope I can at least have my March cysto with him before he leaves.
