Maree, there are thousands of people who participate in this forum, and I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ANYONE GETTING A HOLE IN THEIR BLADDER FROM A TURB! The urologist
is very discriminating in his sampling...he looks, with the camera, and takes very discrete samples of places that look problematic. These are then sent for biopsy to determine the exact type and extent of the tumor or suspected tumor areas. There is no widespread "scraping." When the path report comes back, it will state the exact site of each small piece that is analyzed. The urologist WILL remove any polyps that he finds...this CAN be curative for papillary carcinoma.

Good luck to you and your husband.

Yes - mine (Hubby) is going fullon with carrot juice & vege juice & other goodies incl Colloidal Silver, Vit C, alkalizers to try & improve his condition as much as possible before first TURBT due within next few weeks. Its all a bit scary at this stage. Scraping the entire lining of his bladder with the possibility of making a hole in it does not sound like fun. He has a terrible time after cytos as it is, withour all that going on. Still, it seems inevitable. Tehn there will be BCG.............

Maybe eating lots of the yellow/orange helped the immunity maybe not, but I felt I was being proactive. Maybe it just helped mentally, could be:)

At this stage Catherine just getting them removed when they get identified and then doing the examination 3-6 months later...but will be asking the Surgeon some more questions on future treatment after this next one is removed.

Hello Phil... Welcome to the forum. Best of luck on your upcoming third TURBT. That sounds like a lot to go through in 18 months. Have you had BCG or any other treatments?

Best wishes... Catherine
