Hi there! I am new to this forum, and although I did not have bladder cancer, I unfortunately do have experience with bladder cancer. My father was diagnosed in January of 2013 and unfortunately lost his battle 6 months later. At the time I feel lack of knowledge is what ultimately caused him to lose his fight.
My bladder failed me and hardened towards the end of 2013. Fourty three surgeries later, I ultimately had to have it removed last July 2017 and received a ilealconduit with a stoma and a urostomy bag.
I am going to see a urologist tomorrow to discuss converting to a neobladder. My life has forever changed having to wear an external bag. Has anyone here had a neobladder done (or converted to a neobladder) and if so how has it been? Thank you!!
