Urethral Stricture

Nothing is ever easy, and the surgeon who repaired the stricture said, "if there's a complication it always happens to a physician."
Last night I spent 3 hours with shaking chills, feeling like crap, with my fever peaking at 102.5ºF, and left flank pain. All symptoms seem to be resolved this morning except for dysuria and frequency. I sent a urine culture this morning and the Uro sent one from my bag when he took out the catheter. I've been on Cipro, first dose just before yesterday's procedure.
So once again, I wait and see what happens.

Had my 2 week follow up and the catheter was removed. I actually succeeded in urinating for the VCUG and the stricture repair looked good. Everything feels strange around my genitals and urinating feels weird, but everything is easier with the catheter out. I can't believe I had a catheter for 2 weeks and went to work for the last week of it. Now, more healing and hopefully return to normalcy.
