New one to me, David, never heard of it yet. And now I'm curious; Why not, etc., went and searched PubMed and all the info on cryosurgery for bladder cancer was from the 70s abd 80s, from Russia, France, Germany, no abstracts available. I did retrieve this, from '84: "This technique is proposed as an exceptional measure in very fragile patients as an alternative to cystectomy."

Since it's been around so long there must be another reason that they don't use it very much for blc. Beats me. Let us know what you find out further.

Is anyone familiar with cryosurgery for blc? My sister who lives in MD heard about this from a friend of hers whose husband had received BCG at Johns Hopkins. He did not actually have cryosurgery but she had heard that George Washington University had been using it to treat blc for quite some time. Just curious.
