It was all clear so relief.
I asked in detail about the chances of reocurance. What he told me was that 50% of the reoccurrences happen in the first 18 months and about 75% of them happen in the first two years so that is why the scopes go from every three months to every six months after two years. The chance of a reocurance is always there but aparently it deminishes on average a great deal after the first two years.
So here I am again, my six month cysto is scheduled for next week. I have officially named the week before my cysto as roller coaster week. I find myself thinking about it more and more in the month prior and the last week is an up and down emotional ride. I know we all fee that. I am also heartned by all the good news many of you have posted.
This will be my 3rd cysto on the six month cycle and 2 1/2 years since diagnosis. I went in for the cytology urine test last week so the results should be there when I go in. Nervous time for sure. It is hard to think about or plan much until after the exam. Still, it has been 2 1/2 years and there has been no bleeding (something the Uro always asks me when I come in)
I will keep you all informed.
