talking to him he said,,,lets see this happened before almost 5 yrs ago,,,,after a hard run on empty bladder, first pee after return, clear after,,,,now a bike ride, again hot day, not much water intake, first pee, then clear,,,
No micro blood in urine, cytology clear,all blood work great, bladder and kidney ultrasound perfect....we could do a ct with dye and it will probably be fine,,,,we could also do a cystoscope...I don't think any of these tests are 100%....

there are hundreds more tests we could try but this isn't presenting like cancer....could it be,,,sure,,,,could it also NOT be...sure,,,

If it happens again related to exercise there are hundreds if not thousands of articles related to this on various studys and uro web fourms,,,Google exercise induced hematuria....

So I don't know,,,at this point I trust him

What if? That is a very important question indeed.

From your posts, it appears that the doc's 'best guess' is that the blood is due to bike riding or a prostate issue.

That implies that he has not ruled-out bladder cancer or any of many many other possible causes, and that you have not been informed of an actual cause for the bleeding.

Call the doc and ask, "What if the bleeding starts again?". And maybe go for a full urinary tract exam, with the goal of determining the actual cause.

I wished I had asked what if it happens again...if it's exercise related probably nothing..if not probably a return trip...hope if it does its not for another 4 yrs or longer

PA saw me...he had a very bad attitude...acted mad at the world...I finally told him I was leaving...he went and got the doctor..
I have seen this Dr before...very nice guy..he looked at me records...cytology was negative, no microscopic blood at all in urine today...did a renal and bladder and kidney ultrasound...perfect..no stones,mass etc..
He feels it is from by biking and my enlarged prostate...given it only happened after bike ride and then went clear..
Did digital and testicular exam...prostate enlarged...all else fine...
See you in 1 year unless anything chgs

Just got the best news! The doctor didn't see any more cancer and I start the BCG treatments on July 15th..WooHoo!! Hopefully that will keep the cancer from coming back. Hoping you get an all clear today at your appointment.
