www.photocure.com/ I was very pleased to realize that the makers of Hexvix are also doing pdt for bladder cancer. Hexvix as a diagnostic tool to improve cystoscopy has been approved in Europe and in trials in the US with approval sure to follow soon. As a treatment it's still in trials. I think you could learn more from the website from the makers of Hexvix and get more current info that the pdt page on Webcafe.

It seems like an excellent option.

I first learned about PDT on the blcwebcafe site.

Yes, I am scheduled to begin a full course of six weeks BCG therapy next week.

I wanted to investigate the photo dynamic therapy approach as a back up plan in case the BCG therapy doesn't produce a positive outcome. I don't mean to appear negative, but I just like to try to stay as proactive as I can with the situation as it develops.

May I ask why you're seeking out pdt, and did you already try BCG?

There is a newer bladder sparing treatment, hyperthermia plus mitomycin, in trials. It's a very good treatment. More info:
