Claudia I will. How old is your dad? I think I saw he was dx as T1 g3 is that correct? I guess that is pretty good?

Thanks

And oatmeal! I sound like a broken record on this forum about oatmeal, I know. I told my husband that I could cure his constipation in three days, and it only took two, with a bowl every morning. Not that instant stuff, but the real thing.

And Dulcolax (Docusate, other names) and over-the-counter stool softener has been of great relief to him, too.

Good luck.

Hey,

I sometimes have bowel spasms when under stress. I can get pretty constipated with it too, so I know how uncomfortable it can be.

The only thing that works for me is added fiber. Raisin Bran with milk, taken at night will usually solve the problem. Sometimes just relaxing and finding a mindless activity is enough to let my bowel "let down". My mindless activity is usually going to a book store and browsing around. Sometimes that's all it takes.

Try to relax a little if you can.

Please keep us posted,

Buds,
Rosemary

Is there anyone that has experienced constipation from the stress? Have not had a bowel movment in a day, drinking lots of liquides and veges.

Pat,

You ask a good question. The answer is a mystery to me.

For myself, I did not have a clue about intravesical chemo until I woke up from anesthesia and saw this big yellow bag between my legs and the nurses all wrapped up in plastic while administering it. It was rather frightening.

Perhaps the docs do not make that decision until the tumor is out of the bladder. Perhaps he takes a little look at it under a microscope???

All in all, I am glad that it was administered. But because I was so frightened, I like to give the newbies a heads up as to possibilities. It is not a bad question to ask ahead.

Regards,
Rosemary
