BCG vs. mitomycin for noninvasive papillary carcinoma?

For HIGH GRADE papillary bladder cancer, BCG is the gold standard. Mitomycin is also effective, but not quite as effective as BCG. Mitomycin is often used when BCG is not available or when it has failed.

For LOW GRADE bladder cancer neither is usually prescribed unless the cancer has returned. These treatments are saved for use should the cancer return high grade.
