3rd of 3 Maintenance BCG treatments complete !!
I really felt a load of relief come off my shoulders, to walk out of the Doctors office and know I have no treatments for another 3 months.

Cystography in appx 2 months, but all in all, no catheters for a long time !!!

On Maintenance BCG, just had 2nd of 3 treatments (full dose), with no side affects. This makes me wonder -

During induction, with each passing week, the symptoms got worse and worse. I had read a pattern that even when starting Maintenance the side affects would continue to grow and grow from Induction. So here I am expecting the worst, and I've barely even had a fever. Maybe just lucky ;)

Back from the Doctor, my every 3 month camera in the bladder.
No new tumors right now!!!! ... yaaa...
Was some Redness, may be an early CIS recurrence, but Doctor felt it was ok, and we'll watch it next time.

I also start my BCG treatments again. Even though there is a worldwide shortage, they got another allotment of BCG and will be giving High Risk patients treatments of 1/2 dose.

Had my phone appointment with my Urologist today.

At my medical facility, for those of us who have gone through our BCG 6 week induction, and are now in Maintenance mode, they have picked a treatment plan to replace BCG for Maintenance and they are putting the process in place.

Here is what we will be doing:
Gemcitabine Chemo Intravesical therapy delivered directly into the bladder through a catheter (just like the BCG treatment).
It will be once a month for 12 months, and then you stop Maintenance and continue with Cystography for life at some interval.

It will take 1-2 months to get the process in place, and I am on the list.
