Hi Alyssa,

Yes, I've met women who get pregant after blc and do fine. The website has stories of 2 who were dxed while pregnant and had the baby, their stories are here in the "Tales from the Trenches" under 'not just for old folks!":
blcwebcafe.org/stories.asp

Try not to panic or worry. It's a rare situation but one that is very survivable for both mother and child. It's great that your tumor was low grade and that you are cancer free at this time. As you probably know, the risk of your tumor becoming aggressive if it does come back is very very low. Even if it has to sit for a while, a low grade tumor doesn't change into an invasive one, it's extremely rare (about 4%). The odds are with you and obviously so is The Force!

Keep us posted.

All the best,
Wendy

First Congrats!!! Babies are meant to be when they appear. It is truely a blessing...I wish you the best...I am sure you will figure it all out. My aunt had Breast cancer, and got pregnant during treatment. They discontinued the treatment until the baby came...That baby is now 17, and graduates this year. My aunt has been cancer free since then...God works in mysterious ways...trust that. Maybe this is just what you needed to get your mind off cancer...LIFE...in its purest form...

Good Luck & Keep us posted,
Karen

Hello everyone,

18 months ago I had a low grade ta tumor. I have had cystos every three months since then and all has been well. About a weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. Does anyone known if there is any hormal influence with bladder cancer? I have a call into my urologist. I am not even sure if they will do cystos when your pregnant. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks
Alyssa
