About a month ago, my urologist found a papillary tumor in my bladder. Last Wednesday I had resection. Turns out there were two of them, each about 2 cm. Took a long time to remove, the doctor said. And he kept me in the hospital for 24 hours.
They sent me home with antibiotics and a catheter, and I was free to indulge in all my worst imaginings.
This morning I had the catheter out and received the pathologist’s report: Stage 0, Grade 1!
I am incredibly relieved. I will have quarterly checkups for at least two years, see if there is any recurrence.
This web site is a godsend — thank you all for keeping it going. And best wishes to everyone else with bladder tumors.
