I wanted to respond to let you know your post is seen. It have no answer as it could be many things such as an infection, size of the probe, general irritation from BCG and more likely nothing. At your next check up next month I would be sure to mention this.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Elevated PSA and BCG Discomfort was created by RJake1
Last July my PSA was elevated at 3.5 (65 yr old male). Dr. advised to recheck in six months. This didn't concern me at the time because I had a UTI and I assumed this was the reason PSA elevated.

Last month i underwent second round of BCG and when catheter entered past prostrate the discomfort was much more noticeable than during the first round (June/July).

Question: Would a swollen prostrate result in the added discomfort? I am set to have PSA rechecked in January.

Thanks.
