Welcome uptight,

As you understand bladder cancer is a nasty thing. Be thankful that your doctors are doing the right test (CT scan) and are ahead of any curve balls thrown at you. Low grade bladder tumors have a fairly high recurrence to where most URU's use the words watching and waiting. Low grade is still better than high grade and still can be knocked out. Yes, the kidney "something" is concerning but, they are being cautious and examining is the right thing to do. Waiting is no fun but, I have learned to try and take "one day at a time". It can easily be nothing, a cyst, old calcified blood, yes a growth and that might not even be cancer. Key here is everything is treatable and beatable per early detection. Feel free to post as you go. The good, bad, questions rants etc. Someone will be around to listen.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

In late May of 2019, I was diagnosed with having a 6.2CM bladder tumor that was removed via TURBT with an additional TURBT completed in early July to clean up margins, etc. Results were that it was non-invasive/low grade. In early August I began BCG treatments and completed all 6 by mid Sept. I had very minimal issues with the BCG treatments and never had any bleeding issues what-so-ever. Doctors commented that my blood and urine was exceptionally clean throughout the BCG regimen. Last week I had my first three month followup cystocopy with CT scan and they now find I have a new "something" on my left kidney, along with four very tiny tumors in my bladder. They seem to be much more interested in the kidney issue than the tumors as they say they would all four tumors would sit nicely on a match head to describe the sizing. I am scheduled for additional CT scans on my kidney this week and another TURBT in 10 days. I am devastated to the point that I am going to request anti-depressants. Can anyone relate their situation to mine and if so I would appreciate their findings and thoughts.
