Pretty normal occurrence. Especially after your 11th instillation of BCG. As always, report this to your URO before your next treatment.

The side effects are cumulative over the course of treatment and if they get too intense the usual protocol is to reduce the strength by 1/2, 1/3, 1/4.
DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Diagnosis;High grade T1 papillary carcinoma
Completed eleventh (11th)BCG instillation Saturday morning and experienced the acute symptoms of blood in urine,low grade fever and high frequency of urination in the evening.
All symptoms subsided by Sunday morning .
This morning noticed a 1cmx2cm fleshy tissue, and experienced recurrence of frequent urination after with small particles in the urine accompanied with pain before and after urination.

Greatly appreciate your comments .

Just had BCG treatment today and noticed big clump of substance in urine. Glad I had read this thread earlier or I might've been alarmed. Thanks, all.

No, Ed.  It is more like what happens after you get sunburned.  The BCG really irritated the bladder lining and some of the "burned" tissue dies and sloughs off.

Sara, 

Could you comment more about the lining "sloughing" off ... I too am seeing very visible tissue in my urine weeks AFTER my 6th BCG treatment.  Is the tissue that coming out cancerous from a tumor?
