Not sure there is an actual protocol. Sometimes there are reasons for adding or deleting items in a procedure although the mitomycin is often done. I'd ask the URO, as we are not doctors!
DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

I have had 2 TURBTs - the first, I did not have mitomycin (although I was told that would be part of the procedure). the second (blue light) I did have mitomycin post surgery. First one was papillary (95% LG - 5% HG) the second was CIS (always HG). Not sure why or why not. As far as standard protocol - I will defer to someone with more knowledge.

Hello,

I've a quick question. Is NOT using mitomycin after any of TURBTs still a practice? It turns out our urologist didn't use mitomycin after any of TURBTs.
