Cannot say what caused it, it might be dose of BCG. My doc says blood is common side effect, hope things will change for you.

The appearance of blood is a very common side effect of BCG. It is as if parts of the lining are sloughing off.
Unless it continues for several days, it is probably not something to worry about.

Just an FYI.....I didn't have any symptoms for my first 5 BCG treatments. I had just one instance of bleeding after my 6th. Three month holiday and then started my maintenance 2 weeks ago. Nothing the first treatment but today had my 2/3 and I had bleeding for about 4 hours and now it is clearing up.

I'm not sure if this was due to the catheter or the BCG but relieved to see it clearing up. :woohoo:

Others on the forum have mentioned a reduced dose of BCG; that may be something to discuss with your doctor as you voice your concerns.
