Hey Sean T,
Reading your post, it appears that we are pretty much on the same path. Started around the same time, turbt, then BL turbt, 6X BCG, and I had my first of 3 just this Wednesday. So far I haven't felt much. I did feel tired today but not sure if it was just being lazy and wanting to lay around most of the day or a result of the treatment. I was really excited to hear that my initial treatment was effective but know that it is just the beginning of the battle.
I have found that just the experience of the last 9 months has made the whole issue less frightening. I have never felt sick during the process and still don't. I did have real pain after my first Turbt and I do have some burning after the second turbt (the catheter really sucked) and instillation of BCG but not much at all. Looking at the monitor as I got my last cystoscopy I noticed that my prostate was really red and also my bladder lining looked inflamed but I can't feel it. The idea that I could have such a dangerous disease and not have any physical symptoms seems almost surreal.
Anyway, I will be playing close attention to your progress and of course hope that we both have much success in our fight to stay healthy. I am finally back to making plans and after my initial diagnosis it seemed to stop my normal planning for the future. So things are looking up!
Peace and Love,
Dave
