Transitional cell carcinoma showed up in me after chemo and radiation after kidney removal. I was treated with BCG, 6 round recommended but my body could only do 4 - heavy bleeding - but it worked! I would find a local oncologist who specializes in bladder.

Hi again. I have been reading everyone's responses. I just assumed that you had already had BCG when you asked about the chemo, and maybe the cancer was recurrent. Yes, this does not sound right! You need to find another urologist.

Please remember that we are not doctors here, so what we say is just our opinion...

I cannot believe that if your initial diagnosis was HIGH GRADE that BCG was not recommended immediately. The problem with bladder cancer is that it returns and high grade is NOT something to be fooled with. My urologist even had me cancel a fully paid for trip to China (fortunately I had travel insurance.)

I REALLY recommend a second opinion NOw
