Had my 8-year checkup yesterday and PASSED!! Of course we are still waiting for the cytology report, but that is always a formality!!!! I can't believe how lucky I am and how relieved I am.

My uro did mention that I am a year over-due for a CT-urogram and he asked what I thought about that. I am NOT a big fan of CT scans due to all the radiation they scatter all over. So he got out his laptop and we looked at the most current recommendations....for someone who had high grade disease it is indeed considered the "best recommendation" to have a CT-urogram every five years. So we discussed it some more and...they will be scheduling me for one soon.

I feel so fortunate to have found my urologist just by the luck of the draw when I needed one. We get along great and he goes out of his way to discuss and share responsibility for all "our" decisions.
