I wish everyone could get good news ! My chilling so far has consisted of video taping the bucks running around my house chasing all the does this week . I went back to work last week for three days but had to stop painting , it was to much to soon. I will go back on Wed. In 2006 two days after I had four tumors taken out I went skiing lol. I didn't know any better and I survived ! ( I guess I was a little tougher and younger also. )
I just want to thank everyone for the good thoughts you have sent my way it means a lot. I have always believed that God decided along time ago how many days I have, no one can give me anymore or less than what he has ordained ,and that gives me peace to take life on full force. I am busy living. Rocky
Path report is in .. and it is still superficial non invasive. They are going to fax me the path and surgical report so I can get the details . For now I just have to go back in three months for another cysto . I am just glad I don,t have to make any decisions about any treatments . After the bile duct surgery last month and now this I am ready to just chill ! Rocky
Wow Rocky... so sorry you've had such a tough time with the TURBT. All that fluid buildup sounds miserable... didn't know it could be that bad. Just take it easy painting those houses and ease back into it. Your hubby is a real trooper, too.
Best wishes... Catherine

TURBT 1/21/10 at age 55
Dx: T2aN0M0 Primary Bladder Adenocarcinoma
Partial Cystectomy 2/25/10

Well I had my turbt last Wed. and now I am waiting for the path report . Usually I don't have any problems when I get this done but not this time . The three and a half hour ride home was tuff . If I have to get it done again I will spend the night at a hotel then come home the next day.
I had peed at the hospital but when I got home it was not happening ! So I called the resident on call and he told me to go to the local er and get a cath which I did . We were awake for 21 hours ( well I was knocked out for the turbt ) but my hubby had been awake the whole time . They didn't give me a night time cath bag so I had to empty it every 15 min for 24 hours. I weighed 138 lbs on the morning of the procedure, when I left the hospital I weighed 149 lbs from the fluids they gave me , over night I lost 9 lbs. from going every 15 minutes ! Don't forget to get the over night cath bag guys !!
The bag stayed from wed to sunday and boy was I glad to get rid of it !
The dr. biopsied several places and said about 25 percent of my bladder looked suspicious . He did not put the mitomynicin in as he had planned because he said I would have been in a lot more pain because he had done so much in my bladder . He was right the pain felt like my hysterectomy pain ,but after a few days it eased up. So now I go back to painting houses and waiting for my path report.
On the light side I have been able to watch a lot of bucks chasing does while I have been home , they are all looking for girlfriends ! lol
God bless all, Rocky
