Beginning BCG

You should be able to do that! I drove myself 20-30 minutes home afterward. The day after I was a bit fatigued...some from the BCG and probably some from not sleeping too well at night because of having to "go" every hour or so due to irritation.

Of course, everyone is different. You will do fine!

I'm scheduled for BCG starting next month for 6 weeks then follow up cysto in November. My plan, so far, is to work half the day (scheduled for 1 pm), go to the urologist, get the BCG and drive myself home (20 minutes drive) then veg out in bed as long as I can then urinate. Then back to work the next day. From everyone's experience, is this a do-able plan? The literature my doc gave me of course made it sound very very easy.

lotech35: It's my 4th time for the 3 week BCG maintenance treatments. I'm not exactly on a 3 month schedule. With 2 different cancers at the same time, I kept being told by my doctors to keep things as normal as possible. So, my wife and I like to travel a lot, both being retired, we go on long trips and the second maintenance was 4 month, all came out okay. In 2 weeks I'll start my 4th round.

Just wondering if any other women out there going through BCG have issues with intimacy.
