Gina, Thank you so much for your reply. I guess I just don't know how to use this blog. I don't seem to get much of a definitive answer either. Maybe a month is not a long time. I just can't seem to get a handle on it.
I am 75 and not very tech savvy. I don't get much response from my Doc either.
I have been a month without BCG and his response is "we can always remove your bladder and kidney". Doesn't seem like much of an option to me.
I have called another Doc (50 miles away) to get a second opinion but I don't look forward to a 100 mile trip once a week should I choose to go with him.

Alanlee, we have all been there. Multiple times I had to delay my BCG treatments due to an "irritated" bladder. Not a problem. AND it shows that the BCG is doing something!

I had to wait in between treatments of BCG due to a bad reaction and after the 2nd round of treatments were over my biopsy showed all clear. It's been 3 months since and my first cystcospy still shows clear.

Waiting will not compromise the effectiveness of the treatment, good luck!

Well the doctor would NOT give me a BCG treatment today. He wants me to have no blood and clots for one week.....I wish he would have told me before I drove the 40 minutes each way.

Does this interfere with the BCG effectiveness? Anyone have anything to share? As usual now I am jittery again.

Tique1939.... I know just how you feel! I asked repeatedly the same question, and was very disappointed with the response. I was ignored and my concerns were minimized to say the least... The good news is after two months of going without my scheduled treatments... The hospital contacted me...next week will be my last for a while... Hoping you will have yours again soon!!!
