Just received my 2nd BCG treatment, I was more comfortable going into the procedure and as most state here it really is somewhat uneventful. It’s the build up to the catheter being put in that causes a little anxiety. My urologist almost wasn’t going to do the treatment because I let him know that I was still passing some blood clots. He said that I shouldn’t be passing blood clots this long after having my biopsy 3 weeks ago. He thinks the clots are coming not from the bladder but from the urethra. There could be some mild irritation there causing some clots. No infection was noted on the urine sample.
I was only able to hold in the BCG for 65 minutes this time, 1st Instilment I lasted an hour and 40 minutes. From what I’ve read an hour is still good, right?
Regards,
Mike
