Please know that you are not alone. I am going through the exact same thing. Had my cysto first week of May, dr. said all-clear. About mid-June found myself with similar symptoms of bc and my next cysto is scheduled for Sept. 9th. Went to my primary dr. because I need a referral for my urologist. My primary put me on antibiotics for a UTI twice (after urinalysis). After the second round of meds didn't work(and another urinalysis) she referred me to my urologist. I called the uro and was told she is out for the summer and won't be back until the last week of August. So after another urinalysis I am now on my 3rd round antibiotics as my "UTI" still has not gone away. This is exactly the same scenario I had before I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2011. Kept getting treated for a UTI for months until I demanded!!!! to be referred to a urologist. As I suspected I had bc.

If you can get to your doctor then GO!! It is so important to stay on top of this horrible cancer. I am frightened beyond words, but I'll get through whatever it is.

I will keep you in my prayers. Good luck and God bless you.

thank you Alan~ the waiting game is really tough and some days seem longer then others. Being uncomfortable is not helping either, The Vesicare is a good band aid but I would like reasons why but have to wait, It does drain me physically, and mentally.

The good news is you are actively attacking whatever is causing the hematuria! Waiting is no fun but, soon you'll know what to do and go forward. The good news is this is beatable and hopefully whatever is going on, is minor!
