If you are South Austin, Tri County Urology is a good group in New Braunfels. It is 55 miles south of downtown Austin but, if you are south a fairly easy trip. They do quite a bit of bladder cancer the only downside is the good doc (Harris who studied under Dr. Lamm) I had is going into semi retirement to be an administrator at a hospital in Marble Falls. I am using Patrick Williams going forward. MD Anderson is about 2 1/2 hours an certainly worth a look. They are my back up.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

We may be relocating from western Colorado to Austin within the next year. I am two years from my initial diagnosis, currently getting cystoscopies every six months, and BCG maintenance every six months until January 2013, when they'll be reduced to an annual treat.

I'm not crazy about the idea of starting over with a new doctor. I know MD Anderson is highly regarded, but it's a long drive from Austin. Does anyone have any experience/recommendations for docs in Austin?
