:( OH, my! I understand 100%. I to am an "AT" hiker and have been since the mid-80's, mostly weekends as we have children and I have to work full time. Now they are grown, with children of their own, and I am much older

Now, post BC, Cysto's every 90-days and 64-yo, I doubt that I have the "stick-with-it-ness" to do a "Thru-hike"! Always wanted to, but Cancer, time and age take it's toll.

We do not know what you found out from the Lab, but look, take care of your Health first!

The "AT" will always be there! Wish you the Best!

I'm with Mike... fingers crossed that it is nothing more than a small benign growth.

I am also hopeful that you will make it here to Virginia to say hello on your BIG adventure hiking the AT.

Best wishes... Catherine

Hi guys, Well I went and got my cysto today and the first thing Dr. S said when he came into the room was ,' Where were you ? ( I missed my cysto in Jan ,I was sick and forgot') He said did you think we would'nt notice you were'nt here,we care about our patients,' sighhh what a decent guy he is. Restores my faith in Drs. So I told him I was very sorry and he said they worry that something has happened to the patient, I will never miss one again.
I then ask if I could come back in six months instead of 3 because I was going to be gone hiking the At trail. He then informed me he was seeing something in my bladder. The first words out of my mouth was I don't have time for surgery I am going hiking ! So he said he was going to biopsy it right there and burn it off ! Those words made me jump !
I have had pap smears hurt more , it was no big deal and I totally trust his decison. I was just reading on one post about getting this done in the office , would it hurt . Not if you get Dr. S to do it. It felt like a tiny , tiny pinch.

I will get the path report back in several days.
For those that don,t know I started out with five tumors I think it was five years ago . Small recurr at two years out , and now three years from that time this. Now heres the weird stuff.
The first time I bled was in Jan. 2005 They told me it was a kidney stone. Second time I bled was the next Jan 2006 . The tumors were taking out in Feb.2006 The first recurr was in Feb 2008 again it was taken out. And now three years later this recurr is wait for it ...in FEB !! I am going to dump Jan and Feb out of my calender !!

But the really important news is I AM GOING HIKING AT THE START OF APRIL COME --- OR HIGH WATER !! So just stick that b. c.
