Yep! You are right. That's what I do. Sometimes makes my wife crazy, but that's when I tell her "If you want me to act/think/mind-read/etc. like a woman, you probably should have married a woman." :D

My brother also had bc ten years before me, came back 3 times and then nothing for 9 years. He used to smoke many years ago , I don't. He passed away from lung cancer last Jan. Unrelated to the bc.
Mike you deal with stuff like a guy does, women are different. Women are worriers thats why they can keep you guys kids safe ! lol Why do you think when a guy tosses a kid 7 feet up into the air the women gasp and the men laugh and say " awww quit your worring their fine." We are worriers we are trying to keep the human race safe !!
As to me worriing about the bc coming back I guess I am the type that figures if it is to be it will be ,but I sure do my best to take care of myself. Rocky

Yup, too many families with multiple occurences within. The BC community is so underfunded that it is a very LOW priority.

Alan,
My brother had bladder cancer two years before me. He had to get a neo-bladder right away. So first sign of blood I was off the the emergency room (it was a Sat) and it was caught while being a papiallary Ta. So I went the BCG route. My brother is 5 years out and a "poster boy" for the neo-bladder.

I have to admit I stress as the day approaches. On the outside, I am very calm and relaxed. On the inside, I worry a little.
I am not so worried about the Bladder(I have a neo)but I stress about where this little devil may hole up and start anew.
But, keeping my mind busy on other things helps a lot.
I'm with Mike...I just laugh about it and keep my mind in the sand. I have a mantra; KISS (keep it simple cuz I'm stupid)

George

This is a great thread. I always stress out about the cysto too, but I have six weeks till my next one, and my last one was fairly pain free. I don't know why I worry, the dysuria is just as bad or worse. It's all part of the effort to stay healthy, so I think of my family and how I want to be there for them.
