I hope everything goes well for you and superficial is the diagnosis. But, please don't look at any of us and say we had it worse. It is all Worse! Any news of cancer is devastating. Please also know that early detection and aggressive treatment is what you want.
While we all want to post good news, we also want to be there for even the most minor diagnosis. cancer is cancer, and it's scarey. But we are all fighters.
Get mad, get informed, get your educaton together, and get this cancer thing by the throat and throttle it!

This site is NOT a contest to see who has it worse. It give us all pleasure to hear the success stories from people who caught it early and had minor treatment(they are THE poster children for the right way to beat cancer)

We take ALL visitors and sympathize with their pain and cheer their successes.

Surgery is Monday, and, of course, I'm hoping for some decent results; i.e., superficial. As I read your responses, I realize that many of you have been going through far more difficult ordeals than I have experienced. So, it's time for me to stop whining and take your perserverence and courage as examples to emulate. Thank you for your encouraging words.

Hang in there. You will get through it. Doug had his 6th surgery last December (and had 10 tumors removed). He has not had a reoccurence this year, so we feel fortunate. God bless. Ian, I am encouraged by your news on the blue lights. Keep us posted on that!

I was thinking about this post today and wondered if I should have waited until next week to reply. I will be going in for my first check and even with all I said in the first reply I now wonder if I will be able to be thankful for anything if/when I get the bad news that it is not gone or back.

Therefore, I wanted to say... you have every right to say bummer and I can say that this is a place where people support whatever you feel.

hey drosenberg, sorry to hear of your recure,i stopped posting on here as i felt for a long time i had no good news to post
10 rigid cystos and 1 flex in three and a half years, almost every three months since april 06 the last major recure was six tumours all over 1cm,an upgrade and masses of chemo and some complications thrown in for good measure, its hard to keep your chin up when your in constant treatment of one form or another,
and like wendy used to say its still a cancer dx,and all that can mean, she convinced me to try the new blue light which is being treatment trialed here in the uk,and i have to say it appears to be showing results,i,m now starting my first whole year without any form of treatment, after recieving my first clear,(i was dx@44)

hang in there buddy theres every chance its still non invasive and so very treatable, and good things can happen, i would wish them for you also

kind regards
ian
