My URO said the tumor caused my clots and bleeding. While it wasn't invasive its still scary because it means it was touching the blood supply. I understand that blood & clots are commonly caused by a tumor in this situation. Hope that's the explanation you were wanting.

I may be getting out of my pay grade here, but all I know is he said this "ball" was twice the size of the tumor and he had to re-section it just as he did the tumor. But as I understand it, the tumor gives off blood and after a while it forms this "ball", then starts shedding debris. That, maybe, is what you are seeing coming out. Someone else here may have a better explanation of this...

Britt, I only saw blood during the last month before the tumor was found. The Doc told me the blood ball was twice the size of the golf-ball sized tumor itself. My understanding is the tumor was the thing causing the blood/ball as it developed and grew in size.
