I recieved this form Dr. Donald Lamm.

Regarding the question of sexual activity for women who receive BCG,
it is generally not possible to culture BCG from the urine after the second day post instillation. A condom could be used during this period.
To my knowledge there are no instances of sexual transmission of BCG, though there are some references to BCG in HIV positive patients, and it would be unwise to have unprotected intercourse with anyone who is immunosuppressed while
receiving BCG.

This from Dr. Lamm
Men having this treatment can pass on BCG during sex. To protect your partner, you should not have sex for 48 hours after each treatment. Use a condom during sex at other times during the six weeks of treatment. You should also use a condom during sex for six weeks after treatment has ended

There is a female condom if anyone is interested in trying it B)

My husband is more worried about it not being "safe" for me no matter what the use of protection would be.

I am really surprised that some docs say the day after BCG is safe. That really worries me.

I asked my doc about the need to wear a condom and he said "no"; that intercourse the day after the BCG treatment was fine. Such different answers on timing...
