Hey Lauren,

Thanks for your post. I give you major kudos for doing what you can for your horse and for educating yourself to do the very best for him, as he cannot do it for himself. I'm sure that the horse feels this from you, that you care, and this is tremendously beneficial towards his healing. I'm not a Horse Whisperer or anything, but, my intuition tells me some things. And my intuition tells me that this is true.

Mother Nature has served me very well, thus far, at least before my cancer dx, and I will continue to learn what I can from the ancients who learned before me.

BTW, I think that 5 years cancer free is magic cut off for Cancer Insurance policies too.

I appreciate your post and its content very much.

Your friend,
Rosemary

Hey Rosemary,

Remember that the first doctors, if you want to use that word, were healers - medicine women and men - and they helped people using knowledge of plants and leaves and roots and powders and such... so even though some people who call themselves 'doctors' today don't remember this, some of them might still remember that the best things come from Mother Earth herself. 8-)

I was clean after my first annual scan; but when I tried to give blood last month, the American Red Cross still said I have to be FIVE YEARS cancer-free before they want my blood.  Well!  Another faction chiming in on when we can consider ourselves "cured", eh?

I feed my horse a blend of 8 herbs every day, to fight a semi-cancerous condition he has called sarcoids - and they have worked better than ANY treatment from any number of veterinarians who have seen him, both local and at Purdue University Veterinary College, including a regimen of cisplatin (chemo) treatments.

It is amazing what we can continue to learn from natural sources, isn't it? ::)

Best to you!
Lauren

Thanks Jean,

I am really feeling much better already. The swelling in my toe has gone down tremendously and I can actually place my foot flat on the ground. There has been a lot of humor flying around my office concerning my "sausage toe" and it has been the subject of many, many comments. It is funny. ;)

Even though I have always tried to avoid Doctors and conventional medications my whole life, now that I really need it and feel the tremedous relief, I am very grateful that we have those Doctors and those meds.

Thanks for your very sweet and constant support here. I'm so glad that I have you all to talk to.

Blessings to you,
Rosemary

Rosemary,
I am so happy for you. I really do believe your honey, tea etc. are really making a difference. I hope the Celebrex works for you as well. I was given it for arthritis a few years ago and it helped me a great deal. I don't take it all the time but when the fingers and toes start thumping I take it. Give your grandbaby a big hug!!!!!!
Blessings....Jean

[smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]  All clear cysto today!!

The Doc said that the bladder looks good.  There was no redness to indicate precancerous condition.  Ureters look good.

He was a changed man concerning my arthritis since I had the talk with him about Lamm and after I told him that my arthritis was psoriatic.

He said he would see me in 6 months.  I said, "No more BCG's?".  He said, "I don't want to do them.
The type of arthritis that you have is very specific and rare.  If there is any question about the BCG's causing it,  I just feel that the benefit, at this point, is not worth the risk."   He thought that my artrhitis was interesting, and he would talk to my Rheumatologist about it.  (They are Duke alumnus together.)...he even dropped Dr. Lamm's name this time.....

He also did say, that as time goes on, that my risk factor for recurrant bladder cancer gets lower.  He said that if a bladder cancer is going to give indications of gross misbehavior, it will usually occur in the first three months.  That is what my doctor said.  That is not what he told me on last visit, about his patient being clean for 2 years and then coming back with a more agressive tumor.  Sometimes I wonder, if when Doctors talk to you about cancer, that what you think you hear is determined by your frame of mind. :-?  However, I do have a very good memory for words, and those are the words he said to me.

Lots of love to all.  Thanks Sandra for your post and prayer.  Thanks to all who have been in my corner and given me support and prayers.  You are all a blessing.

From here on in, I will continue to drink my teas with local honey.  I even plan to purchase some marshallow root tea, per Patricia's recommendation.  I will also continue my Essiac, just for good measure.

It's been a scary ride.  I will continue vigilance.

Very best regards to all,
Rosemary

Hi Rosemary: I am pulling for you that in a couple of weeks time the Celebrex will be "doing it's thing" and you will feel nearly painfree. It does take a bit. My shoulder was so bad that I could not hook my bra and had to buy front closing ones. I don't know how Celebrex could have "fixed" an impingement - all I know is that it I could once again use my arm.

I finished my first round of 6 BCG last Thursday, had the painful 5 hour aftermath, tiredness but at the same time was happy that I could finish all 6 doses. My next Uro appt is for April 11th. So I am enjoying my break from the Uro dept! Mar 26th scheduled for Diagnostic Mammo. Other than that I hope to stay out of Doctors offices and Hospitals for the next 32 days!

I think I read that today you are scheduled for your Uro appt - if so, I am praying that you get a clean slate and that you can start your next round of BCG in a few weeks. Wish that toe of yours "good health" as well! Please let me know how all goes......

Take care BC Friend,
Sandra
