Gina,

Warren is absolutely right -- that's what this forum is all about. Just by replying and posting you DO encourage others. We absolutely understand how you feel, even though we may sound brave in most of our postings we ALL have the same dark, morbid thoughts when we are in that very lonely place with our fears. There have been ups and downs over the past year of my journey with bladder cancer, especially after the BCG didn't work, and time after time the folks on this forum have encouraged me and helped me get through the bad times, and they will be there for you as well.

Please keep in mind that BCG does work 70% of the time so the odds are heavily in your favor. I hope I did not discourage you.

I personally appreciate your presence and your response. Thank you for being there.

A support group is for support. Right now you need it, so you should be here. Hopefully, you will ultimately have a good enough experience so that some day when the bad stuff is behind you, your story will be supportive to someone else. There are no dues to belong here. You paid those when you got cancer. No one is keeping score. You must feel free to come here with your needs. We all whine sometimes. Isn't it nice to know that the people we're whining to get it?!?

david...my thoughts and prayers will be with you!! your strength and optimism, however, "guarded" it may be is so wonderful for me to see..i feel that i am constantly whining on this forum...it really makes me feel worse than i already do...as if that is possible...i've come to realize that as much as "reocurring" papillary and cis carcinomas are spoken of so casually here....if after the bcg MINE reoccurs..i think i will fall apart!!....i am struggling to remain positive and the only way i can do that is to tell myself...get through ALL six bcg and you'll be "ok"!!...i have to believe that right now...i am so afraid...i am so sorry...perhaps my being here is not a good thing...i am totally unable to encourage anyone...so so sorry!!

David,

Well it really could be worse, I guess. Please let us know about the biopsy results. I am guardedly optimistic right along with you. Thanks for the post.

Take care, Bud
