Well it all sounds like good news..congrats. I'm beginning to think i'm the odd man out but with both TURBS i had i never had any blood afterwards???..In fact the second TURB at Memorial Sloan they removed the cath about 20 mins after i woke up..urine was clear so out it came. I did pee into a cup before i left which was clear and out i walked into downtown NYC and hailed a Taxi...if i wasn't supposed to do something they sure didn't tell me about it!!! I would have had the same problem as you regarding steps..no matter how you look at it there's l3 steps to get into my house! pat

Addendum to my last note:
My urologist called. Said my bladder looked fine... and he wants to see me in 3 WEEKS. Guess the nurse got the discharge instructions a bit mixed up. So I'll tell you the next chapter in the stricture story in a few weeks, and for now, I remain the Baldder Cancer Web Café's poster boy for Grade 3 cancer and CIS with never a recurrence in 7¼ years. Even with my catheter and my urethral pain I do appreciate how very lucky I am.

Hi All,
I'm home with my catheter and not feeling too bad. I was waiting for a call from my urologist before I posted because the last time I saw him I was out of it and have no idea if he spoke to me, but I was told that everything was OK, so I presume that means no cancer. And now that the anesthesia has worn off enough for my brain to function I'm thinking, the urine in my bag isn't bloody, so he couldn't have done any biopsies, ergo, he must not have seen anything to biopsy.
As far as the stricture goes, the only thing I know is the plan is to follow up in three months. Doesn't sound like much of a plan to me, unless he thinks he did something that will keep the stricture open better than any past procedures. Well I expect he'll call me.
So you all want a little laugh? My post op instructions said I could resume things tomorrow. There was a check mark in the following boxes: Shower/Bath, Drive, Return to Work, Walk, Stairs, Sex. Well, I've got news for you --- if I waited until tomorrow to use stairs, it wouldn't be a matter of having to sleep downstairs: I'd still be standing outside my house! Sex?!? Can you do that with a catheter in ????!? I think I have a headache and it's well below my neck.;D
