Hi all,
Well, it's been 6 months since my last stricture dilation and poke & peek. Honestly, I never expected to go a whole year without a cystoscopy. My new urologist did a great job on the dilation. It was awful, but it was good. So, if it turns out that I have to be tortured (dilated) every 6 months for the rest of my life, and that's all, I can live with it.

Gosh, Warren,

I'm so sorry. You've had quite a long stretch of peace and calm and now this. And it is over a week until your appointment on the 27th. I don't know how you are going to wait that long.

Regards,
Rosemary

Here we go again. 2 weeks of on and off minor bladder spasms and microscopic hematuria - trace blood - not very much - no white cells - negative culture. I wasn't sure if it was anything. On the 2 occasions my urethral stricture flared up the symptoms escalated quickly and so did the amount of blood in the urine. And I did have this kind of stuff for 8 years before the cancer. Monday I decided to do a urinalysis in my office and passed a pinhead sized clot into the cup.
So, is it my stricture? a recurrence of the cancer after 7 years with never a recurrence? or just my stupid bladder doing what it likes to do which I never got any reasonable explanation for? Well the little clot scared me enough. I'm not waiting around to see. My next urology visit is Wednesday, February 27, at which time I expect I'll have my stricture dilated (yipee :P) and a cystoscopy (Oh, boy ::)).
