The web site for song is www.arly.net. go to sound clips in left menu and pick The album A Certain Kind then the song The Day I Found You. I hope you enjoy it. Gator first wrote me a song called Love For Eternity it is beautiful. His second song was a tribute to his Mother called My Mom more of a ballad but also beautiful. Then he wrote The Day I Found you and The Right Love. Arly Karlsen is an artist from Norway. We went to Nashville to meet him when he recorded the album. Thank You for your kind words. He truly is the love of my life. www.arly.net

Hello Tracey... What a love story the two of you have! I am happy to hear that he is feeling better and able to eat a little and drink that much water. I love the photo and it's not too big at all!

Thanks for the reminder about the bone scans. My doctor has not even mentioned it but I will certainly ask when I return in October. Also, somehow a chest xray fell through the cracks and when I asked my surgeon in April shouldn't I have had one, he was shocked that it had not been ordered as part of my pre-op tests. He immediately sent me to the lab to get one done, now 14 months after my surgery. Fortunately it was clear. So even major hospitals have to be monitored closely on every level.

I look forward to hearing your song. I don't find a link and maybe when you get time, you can edit to include it. Take care of yourself as well as Walt... Best wishes to you both for the best possible results on that scan.

Best wishes... Catherine

Whow Sorry I didn't know the pic would be that big. I also forgot to answer that question. He was never diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. No symptoms yearly PSA always the same. BUT when they removed the prostate during RC and sent to path they found 2, in the DR.'s words, minute spots of cancer in the prostate tissue. We believe the mets are from the bladder cancer, no biopsy has been done, it was 3 different bladder cancers and they were very aggressive. My husband is 68 yrs young. And has always acted and felt and looked younger than his age. I am 45 and we always joke that age wise we meet somewhere in the middle. People say I have an old soul. When you are a mother at 15 you mature very fast if you are as lucky as I to have had 2 wonderful mothers.

You can listen to a song Gator wrote and I edited at the link below. The song is called The Day I Found You. It is on the album A Certain Kind. It is very special to both of us. Will give you a little more insight into what a wonderful man he is.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We are existing on hopes and prayers right now. Today he is having a good day. Nurse to out IV. He has had V8 juice 4 times and watermelon in am then a whole icecream sandwhich. Alos has managed about 40 ozs of water. Believe me that is a remarkable milestone for him. He is really concerned about taking the Zometa or Gemzar or both because if his pet scan doesn't show anything positive as in halting the cancer in the C2. We are really praying for some bone regrowth. Otherwise he doesn't want to do anything to make himself sick again. He is feeling better and i can't blame him for wanting to just feel good for as long as he can. Has anyone had experience with either of those systemic treatments> he would really like to hear some advice from someone who has had chemo or Zometa treatments. Anything would be helpful. And please if anyone hasn't had regular bone scans while in remossion or after RC. Please ask your DR. So you can catch these mets before they get as advanced as Gators are before we caught them. Don't ignore any nagging joint or bone pain.!!! Thank you again. God Bless you all. :)

Tracey,

Sorry to hear about Gator's current situation. I haven't had radiation so I don't know much of anything about that.

Did he have both prostate and bladder cancer? Your post said they think it may be prostate cancer mets.

Hope all goes as well with the treatment as it can!

Wishing you both well!

Mike
