Update on Dick

Hi Julie, I had to get massages at a hospital because of pain issues (I hated them), the guy said people were always calling him to see if he was free to give them one, so it won,t hurt to check with your hospital to see if someone can give you one.

Just a quick note before I go to bed as I am running on empty. The lift will be installed tomorrow and two of the people from the shop will come over to the house and get the wheelchair out and over to the shop so they can fit the brackets on it. Then I will have the wheel chair in the car for him. After the lift is installed I will pick up the new and improved plan for the Owners approval I think we have everything in writing that she requires. With some people it is easier to do it their way because they do not have compromise in their vocabulary. If all goes well it should be added on by the end of the day Friday.

I have no idea how long Dick will be in the hospital. I'm guessing 3 to 7 days.
He had a scare this morning as he had a major asthma attack which he has never had before as his asthma was well controlled. His oxygen level was down to 76 and his face was blue according the aide who was just outside the door when it happened. They both told me about it. I think I am glad I didn't see it.

I am only walking to his room once a day and back out to the parking as my knees are starting to hurt again and I think all the walking in the hospital during his June hospitalization really did the knees harm and I don't want a repeat.

Great idea Stephanie about the massage. I would hope they would have someone in the hospital that could do it. Back in the dark ages nurses used to give back rubs. Julie

While you are waiting at the hospital, can you find out if there is a massage therapist there? Maybe you could get a massage for yourself, or a manicure. I'll bet there's a beauty shop hidden in there somewhere.

At least get a foot massage!
