60 year old australian male diagnosed stage 4 bladder cancer may 2017 had minor surgeries ,chemo then bladder, prostate, lymph nodes and uretha removed in oct 2017followed by radio therapy.
have had constant constipation problems since Oct which was attributed to antibiotics for ongoing urine infection. About 3 months ago, started getting intermittent lower back pain--scans show spine appears ok and cancer has been eliminated.
had hoped that when infection cleared 3 weeks ago and I ceased taking antibiotics my bowel would come god but not so. my diet is now mainly vegetarian with lots of fruit, leafy green and other raw veg ,psyllium husk and pro and raw garlic biotics including apple cider vinegar, yakult, raw sauerkraut, greek yogurt. Laxatives are currently my only solution.
During consultation with my surgeon a month ago ,I asked to be hospitalised but he declined saying he would not know what to do with me. My latest GP is now relying on my surgical team to provide answers.
With the next surgeons visit end Aug am becoming antisocial and depressed. My resolve to walk on a daily basis is slipping and the discomfort in my lower back has me in bed for most of the day.
I would be grateful for any advice or feedback Dusty
