Just got back from latest cysto - cancer free and no more BCG treatments!

Yes!

I am learning to relax and enjoy life in between cystos. I don't have cancer now and that's all that counts.

08/16/16 - TURBT - 1 tumor, T1HG, 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm x 1.8 cm, non-invasive papillary.
BCG treatments (15 doses total - last March, 2018). As of latest cysto, As of May 4, 2023 - cancer free!

Found my tumor in 2014 when BCG was in a world wide shortage. After tumor removal I had Genbenadine (?) and after second cystoscopy cancer returned. Had surgery again and BCG after a couple of months recuperation. Had tumors return again after 6 months but lasered in the bladder. Had BCG 6 weeks after treatment and next two cystoscopies was clear. Had cystoscopy today and have a questionable area that will be checked out with urine sample also. Should have results in a few days. Mean while I went to emergency room after GU Clinic to see if kidney stones were source of pain in stomach. Had CT Scan which showed a lucency on t12 so scheduled for MRI Monday. I have not had tumors invade muscle wall so wonder is anyone knows or cancer spread without this happening. I think BCG treatment for 3 weeks is a breeze. Alternative is not something I want to think about. Will give and update after I get results from MRI.

My last bcg treatment was 2/19/18. This was the so painful. I see dr Friday for scope and pray I never have to do bcg again. I started bcg about a year ago but the pain in my kidney was so bad we had to stop after 3 treatments. After cancer came back Dr told me I had to do all 6 weeks of treatments.
