It can be a bummer, just day-to-day problems. Today we went to the casino for some fun. I am 3 months post op with wound mending issues so I don't get out all that much. So, I get all dressed, we go, I am there 5 minutes and guess what? LEAK!! And everything had been going so well. Actually, I had one earlier in the day after my normal change. So I went through 2 new bags in one day. The first one I think was sitting on my couch, which might be too deep for me since it is the 2nd time it happened. The casino thing may have resulted from getting out of the truck, moved too fast maybe. Also, I am wondering if I am using too much powder and it's too smooth. See...it's just a lot of little things that crop up and are conspiring to cause me to lose my mind. Hard to smile through everything, but you got to. I'll figure it out. ;)

I want to thank everyone who responded to my questions about my husband's leakages and the ostomy appliance. I have become greatful and sometimes teary eyed when reading the blogs,as one can feel the encouragement and the compassion, expressed. As a caregiver, it is a dual path, I need to remain strong and directed, and sometimes , in the darkness when no one will see, I let go. I pray that we all remain strong and joyful of the good moments, we can share.
