Hi Eileen,
DaVinci is just the name of the robot that's used for the surgery. There is some info here on this board about it. I guess it doesn't really matter at this point. Maybe just concentrate on Michaels recovery for now. I wish you both the best and I'll keep checking back from time to time.

hi carmine - michael says the chemo is way worse than the surgery. the catheter doesn't hurt now that there's no prostate. he has walked up and down the hospital floor 3 times so far today. the pain isn't bad. he was allergic to the first type of morphine - he was really itchy all night to dilaudid so he didn't get any sleep. then they changed the medicine today so it's better. he's doing fine. has a slight fever - very common 24 hrs. post-op. feel free to write with any questions - it's all very fresh in our minds. michael did not have it done robotically, and i don't know what the da vinci is.

Hi Eileen,
Happy for you guys that it went so well. Tell Michael that I hope he is at 100% soon. I also am going for chemo before RC and hope it isn't too bad. I am going for the neobladder as well and will be watching your posts frequently. I can't remember if Michael's RC was to be done with DaVinci robot or not, that's what I am supposed to get. Let me know.
